Heritage Open Days Events

Harmony Works is thrilled to open Canada House to the public to share the fascinating history of this grand Victorian building, and to celebrate its exciting future as a new centre for youth music education in Sheffield.
Our tours will take visitors to the old first floor offices – including the stunning painted boardroom – and the ground floor main hall where visitors will marvel at the beautiful domed ceiling.
Bring your stories of Canada House to share with our team over a cuppa! Paying your gas bill, dancing at the night club, eating at the Chinese buffet, or working in an office with a view – we would love to hear from anyone with memories of Canada House at our memory cafés.
Drop-in and engage in the past, present and future of Harmony Works at Canada House at our exhibition detailing our exciting plans for the building, and our pop-up urban room which places Canada House within the context of the Castlegate regeneration project.
Want to delve deeper into the architectural story of Harmony Works? ‘From dream to reality – the vision for Canada House’ is a one-off extended tour and talk with architects Tom Moore, who’s been involved in the project from its very beginning and Matt Beaumont, Conservation Architect for the project.
Celebrate music for young people in the Dome with Concerteenies and our young musicians on Music Day, part of the Castlegate Festival.
